What is the number one problem with filter installation?
Bypass. Regardless of the efficiency of the filter, if there is even a quarter inch bypass, the filter will not be filtering. Just like water, air takes the path of least resistance.

How important is Air Filtration?
Air filtration is very important as it plays a critical role in maintaining indoor air quality and protecting human health. Air filtration systems remove harmful airborne pollutants such as allergens, dust, mold spores, bacteria, and viruses from the air we breathe. These pollutants can cause or worsen a variety of health problems, including respiratory issues, allergies, and asthma.
What is a MERV rating?
MERVs, which stands for Minimum Efficiency Reporting Values, indicate a filter’s capacity to trap particles in the range of 0.3 to 10 microns (µm) using a testing procedure devised by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) called 52.2.
How long does my filter last?
Great question and without knowing more about your specific application, we can only provide general information. Pleated filters from MERV 8 to 13 can range from monthly to bi-annually. Mini-pleat filters can range from one year to 1.5 years. V-Cell high efficiency filters will last 2-3 years. HEPA filters could last 2-5 years.
